This course examines financial statements and explains what they do and do not communicate. This enhances the financial statement user’s decision-making and problem-solving abilities from a user perspective. Preparing financial statements is not an objective of this course. Instead, the course is designed to assist users of financial information to learn “what the numbers mean” in a clear, concise, and conceptual manner, without focusing on the mechanical aspects of the accounting process.
The course is an eleven-week course (one session per week). However, the course is an online, self-study, self-paced course. Therefore, the length of the course is determined by the time you dedicate to the course and your knowledge and understanding of accounting information.
