This course is an individual and business tax planning course for new tax planners.
The course is a beginning individual and business tax planning course that provides clear and concise explanations of tax planning laws, rules, and regulations. The course covers core individual and business tax planning concepts, processes, and procedures tax planners should comprehend to perform tax planning.
The course is an eighteen-week course (one session per week). However, the course is an online, self-study, self-paced course. Therefore, the length of the course is determined by the time you dedicate to the course and your knowledge and understanding of individual and business tax planning.

If you purchase the course after 5:00 pm MT (4:00 pm PT, 6:00 pm CT, 7:00 pm ET), we email course access and instructions the next business day. We are closed on weekends and major holidays.
The access code provides you access to the course for 6 months beginning from the time you access the course.

The certification is required for the Certified Tax Professional license, Tax Planning Career Program, and Tax Planning Business Network.
The Certified Tax Professional (CTP) license enables you to place "CTP" behind your name and communicate your tax knowledge, skill, experience, and ethics to employers or clients. The license distinguishes you from your competition, builds credibility, validates knowledge, demonstrates skill, verifies experience, and confirms professional ethics. The license is included in our Tax Planning Career Program and required for the Tax Planning Network.
Tax planning is a plan, from a tax perspective, to reduce federal and state taxes and prepare for retirement. Tax preparation is preparing the tax return after the year is over when most opportunities to reduce taxes are gone. Small business owners should use tax planning to reduce their taxes and prepare for retirement.
